Gene Connection:Chem Connection's Network of Support

Gene Connection:Chem Connection (GCC) is a model collaboration whose success is a tribute to the many components of its network: capable students, passionate teachers, the San Mateo County Office of Education, Cañada College, and the Bay Area Biotechnology Education Consortium (BABEC).

Especially critical has been the generous funding of GCC by organizations that share the vision of active learning by active students. Special thanks to:

	Genentech Foundation for Biomedical Sciences for funds to support our basic and extensive outreach in biotechnology and high tech chemistry.

	Bay Area Biotechnology Education Consortium - BABEC, our 501(c)(3) collaborative of regional biotechnology outreach organizations, that provides professional development, reagent, and equipment support for PCR activities, DNA sequencing, and other exciting laboratory activities.
